Project management, organization, and creating your space your way.
PMP: Simplified
One thing humans are always going to do is overcomplicate it whenever we can. If you’re studying for the PMP Certification, or just dipping your toe in Project Management, you are probably feeling overwhelmed with acronyms, indexes, processes, and a whole bunch of other stuff that probably feels unnecessarily tedious.
So much of this stuff is probably things you already do and your just getting lost in the jargon jungle. Let me help you break it down.
Hi, I’m Kristin.
I’m a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and I have spent the last 14 years working in the beer and alcohol industry first as a sales rep; eventually creating a role for myself as Senior Manager where my job is to organize hundreds of program requests into one cohesive program. Here, I’ll show you some of my favorite yet simple techniques for keeping thinks organized, creating an overall strategy, and doing that without over complicating everything.
I don’t believe that professionalism requires you to strip yourself of your personality. Since I can’t help it from back in my blogger days, I’ll probably be showing you some of my favorite tools and products for both personal and professional enjoyment.
Transferrable skills? You mean use my excel knowledge to create fun spreadsheet to track my Sims 4 Gameplay? Yes…yes that’s it.
Create your space.
With remote work becoming more and more the way forward, creating a space that not only allows you to compartmentalize and be productive, but that you actually enjoy being in - is critical. I’ve been a fully remote worker since 2010 and I’ll give you all of my favorite tips for setting up your space, keeping balance, and getting the work done.
